A Revolutionary Manicure

I would like to introduce you to my newest obsession:
                        Jamberry!!

These awesome nail wraps come in hundreds of different designs and are even customizable! They are made of strong vinyl and actually protect your nails rather than damage them!

Initially I was sold by the cute designs and but I didn't think they would apply smoothly or last. Honestly, they sat in my nail polish basket for maybe a month before I actually tried them. But I instantly fell in love! They are so easy to apply and allow you to reposition and reseal with a bit more heat. Not to mention you don't need any fancy equipment since it is all possible with just your own hair dryer!

After applying only 2 jamicures I knew I was hooked! I was getting great lasting results even after dishes and cleaning! No polish or sheliac had holding abilities like these!

So, I decided to buy the kit. I figured if I was going to be wearing these things ALL THE TIME then I may as well get a discount and actually have a reason to spread the good news to my fellow women.
Oh and the extra cash may actually get me a little vacation :)

DIY flower vases

I have begun to keep EVERY glass jar that comes through my house. It all started when I coated the inside of a couple mason jars with glitter for Little Bs 1st birthday. Now I'm hooked and have moved onto wine bottles! They come in all shapes, sizes and colours and they make perfect accents when painted or glittered.

All you have to do is put a bit of paint inside and roll the bottle until everything is covered! If you want to use it to hold water then you will need to spray with a finish coat, which lets face it may be just about impossible with the wine bottles. C'est la vie!

PS. These bottles have only been painted! Dress them up with some yarn, twine, ribbon, or anything else you have in the house. Enjoy!

DIY Dog Sweater

When I found this little guy on the side of the road, I had a blanket and food to offer him but no sweater from my other dogs because they were way too big! With a busy daycare schedule this week I had no time to run out and find him something to keep him warm so I decided to make something. Since I had an odd leftover tube sock from the pair I took my sock bun from, I decided it would be perfect! It was warm and not to tight around his tummy. I cut the foot of the sock off just above the heel and added two little slits for his legs. Voila! Not to bad for a short term solution. Maybe ill find some cuter socks to use next time :)

Window treatments

We have been in our home now since August and things are finally coming together in terms of the decor! I was eager to replace the front curtains in our living room as the previous owners took everything down to the rod! So I took this opportunity to make good use of my Pinterest decor tips :) I asked my husband to mount the curtain closer to the ceiling than the window trim, thus accentuating the height of the room and size of the window. I had started with only 2 panels as the brackets supporting the centre were in the way and I didn't want to cover any of the light as it really is a large window. But it was too bare so I added 2 more and voila! The panels are thin enough to sit perfectly in the frames of the window panes and makes the window much more dressed.
